Pool Surround — Manly

This Manly property had an aging tiled pool surround that was cracking, lifting at the edges, and becoming a safety hazard — especially for the homeowner's young kids running around the pool in summer.

We removed the old tiles and prepared a new base, ensuring proper drainage fall away from the pool edge. The client wanted something modern and seamless that would tie into their recently renovated outdoor entertaining area.

We poured a honed concrete surround with a custom colour mix to complement the sandstone tones of the house. The finish was treated with a non-slip aggregate sealer — critical for pool areas where wet feet are the norm.

The result is a clean, contemporary pool area that looks like it belongs in a design magazine. The seamless concrete flow from pool edge to BBQ area creates an open, connected entertaining space that the whole family loves.
